Family Handbook

Dear Johnson School Community,

Johnson School is a community dedicated to creating a positive and nurturing learning environment for all of its students.  Parents, teachers, and staff work together to create abundant opportunities for academic and social growth.  One parent referred to Johnson School as having a "glue that keeps everyone working together for all of the kids here."  Elementary school is the time to create a love for learning and inspire children to be inquisitive about the world around them.  That is what we aim to do.

At Johnson School we frame our actions around three main ideas: Taking Care of Ourselves, Taking Care of Each Other and Taking Care of Our Environment.  We use this lens to support positive decision-making.  These ideas can be found in all classrooms across content areas.  Staff and students alike hold each other to high expectations for learning both academically and socially.

This handbook is designed to provide our families with all the pertinent information you may need during your time at Johnson.   We appreciate you taking the time and reading through it and understand its content so that you can be informed about our programs and expectations.   This handbook can also be found online at our website johnson.natickps.org.  Should you have any questions not answered in this handbook, please do not hesitate to ask.
